Ingredients: What you need to have to make this cake

  • 200 g of flour 00
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 2 eggs whole
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 140 g of soft butter or 100 ml of seed oil
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 450g of cherries without the stone

Wash and dry the cherries if you are using the fresh one and with the help of a knife rattle off and keep aside. Alternatively, simply empty the content of the can and let the cherries to dry.
In a large bowl or in the planetary, stir the flour, yeast, sugar, pinch of salt, lightly beaten eggs and finally the butter, work the mixture until you have, as a result, a creamy mixture.

Cooking Time
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes, always do the toothpick test before churning, must come out dry.

Tips: Make the dough base with the oil, roll it out in a square mould 24x24cm or 25×25 cm. Put above many spoonfuls of jam (1 jar 300 or 350 g), use a toothpick to make the marbled effect and bake at 180 ° for 35-40 minutes. You can also make this cake using the classic muffin mould and you will have the mini soft cakes muffins.
